Xavi Hernandez is officially out of work after Barcelona dismissed him from the coaching position. FC Barcelona has officially terminated Xavi Hernandez's coaching contract for the next season. The Catalan club signaled at the end of last season that their relationship would not continue after three years together.

This decision was made after club officials held a meeting with the former Blaugrana captain at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training center.

“FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has informed Xavi Hernández that he will not be continuing as first team coach in the 2024-25 season,” said the official statement from fcbarcelona.com.

“The meeting happened at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and was also attended by sporting vice-president Rafa Yuste, director of sport Anderson Luís de Souza, Deco, Xavi, Òscar Hernández and Sergio Alegre.”
